Are you ready to inspire young minds and ignite a passion for math? Catlin Gabel School is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Math Teacher to join our Middle School! This role involves teaching middle school math using the inquiry-based curriculum Illustrative Mathematics. Responsibilities include teaching three math sections and co-advising a homeroom/advisory group. Courses range from Math 6 to Algebra 2, depending on school needs.
Candidates should utilize diverse teaching methods, demonstrate successful math instruction, and foster students' confidence in their mathematical abilities. They must be collaborative planners with strong math knowledge, pedagogical skills, and classroom management. Cultural competence in teaching is essential.
Some Responsibilities include:
·Teaching middle school math classes (pre-algebra and algebra 1 or 1A) and supporting students in math lab
·Creating an inclusive and culturally responsive classroom environment through regular class meetings, supportive exchanges with students, and clear expectations for classroom behavior
·Coordinating and implementing, at the classroom level, appropriate student assessments and utilize assessment results to enhance student learning, including differentiated instruction
·Working collaboratively with fellow faculty and administrators in curriculum development and alignment in the math scope and sequence in the Middle School as well as PS-12

Salary Range: $50,390-$99,410/year
